There’s a catch, however - it checks to see if you’re running a Mac-supported Intel CPU.  If you haven’t properly edited your Hackintosh system to reflect [...]

Ion the Tiger

Nvidia has announced their latest platform: the “Ion“, which consists of an Intel Atom coupled with their 9400M chipset.  What does this mean?  It means we’re going to have monster nettops and netbooks in mid-2009!  The Atom isn’t designed to be a super-hefty processor, but rather a low-heat, low-power CPU for small applications such as [...]

Psystar says EULA is dumb

Although Apple is already suing Psystar, the game isn’t over yet -  Psystar has amended their countersuit to say that Apple is guilty of copyright misuse regarding the Leopard EULA and DMCA.  Basically Psystar wants to keep making money (illegally) and even though this is a weak approach, it’s all they can really do at [...]

Free Software: Show Path in Finder

I found a really handy Terminal trick at TUAW that shows you how to show the full path in Finder.  This is handy for doing Terminal commands and simply seeing where you are within the file system.  Here’s a screenshot of what the result is in Finder:

I converted this into a couple programs for easier [...]
