Working: Lynx L22 sound card (PCI)

If you’re in the market for a professional sound card, the Lynx L22 has been confirmed working (with official drivers) on an EFI-X system by perrin21 of the EFI-X forums.  Here’s a review. Although the card’s MSRP is $749, you can easily find it for about $675 online (check out zZounds.com).

Why the Audiophile 2496 does NOT work

There’s been discussion on and off about why the M-Audio Audiophile 2496 PCI sound card doesn’t work under Hackintosh.  This is for two very simple reasons:

Real Mac Pros don’t have PCI slots
M-Audio only has a PPC driver available
