Did you know that a large amount of the space in your system that is being taken up by applications is being wasted? This is due to universal binary applications, introduced with OS X Tiger so that one application could run on both PowerPC and Intel systems. This application lowers the size of apps down by stripping those unneeded architectures.

Want to slim your whole system but don't want to drag everything in individually? Slimtool has a find and add feature that will search your system for any slimmable applications, and they will be automatically added to the slim list to be slimmed! Slimtool also ignores errors so one error will not halt the sometimes long Find and Add

Slimtool has a feature known as "Blacklisting". Some applications do not work properly after slimmed, or are just not compatible with Slimtool at all. These applications should not be slimmed and should be ignored, and to make sure of that there is the Blacklist. Any application on the blacklist will be ignored by Slimtool. Slimtool comes with a small blacklist preloaded, but you can add or remove apps from the blacklist.
