The reality is that the app itself cannot wreck your install, but the things it CAN install may wreck it. The key here is that, especially if you are doing this on an existing working install, be wary of what you are installing. The notes window will list which kexts the plugin contains, so always look there. If you contacted PCWiz Computer Support I could help you further with the problem.

I'll take a look at that EFI installer error and see if I can find the problem. As for the DSDT Patcher error, that means that you have some debugging to do: your computer isn't providing a proper DSDT dump. You can try the force compile option to for it to generate a dsdt but that isn't ideal.

The DSDT installation in 1.2 is not working! This is being looked into and an update will be released today!

Having had the voodoo speed up problem post installing latest EFI/Chameleon, I then used the old version of Tools (1.4.9) to install the older version of Chameleon. It worked, restoring voodoo to working at the right speed. I then used the Universal Installer to once again install the latest EFI/Chameleon. This time it worked and voodoo kernel is stable, VLC running at the correct speed. I have tried this twice, now, on a fresh HD and it worked both times. Not sure what's going on, there, but I'm happy. Hope this helps someone.

UOI wrecks my vista/win 7/osx system in that order. after clicking Install Kext Package and PC_EFI and restart, the whole system just gone! only the blinking cursor at boot.

even after using win 7 to repair the bootloader, the blinking cursor remains.

for your info, this is my system setup

3 Primary Partitions: Vista, Win 7, OSX (installed in that order)

I used EasyBCD to add OSX to the Win 7 bootloader.

From its name I figured that the universal installer needed to be run BEFORE booting with the leopard dvd...but since you need to have leopard installed before you can run it that's obviously wrong...lol

Also can snow leopard be installed or only 10.5?

How about some updates to UOI and OSx86 Tools to allow installation of kexts, com.apple.Boot.plist, and EFI strings exclusivley to the EFI partition? The idea is to have a clean, unmodified installation on the OS drive. There has just been a release of an updated EFIstudio (v1.1) that approaches this>

I want to try to clone my iMacs drive with CCC and then use this tool to install EFI etc for my hackintosh. I already know that this tool will work on my hack, but want to try the clone method as well. The issue is that the drive I want to use is already used for cloning the iMac for backups, and the EFI tools prevent me from booting back to my regular startup disk.

Is there an tool, or command line command that will uninstall all the stuff that this tool installs ?
